Embedded Software Engineers (1 Position Available)

Key Words: C/C++, embedded software development, audio/video application.

Location: Yokohama, Japan

Start Date: October 1, 2009

Customer Overview:
A leading game A/V equipment maker, one of Japan's largest electronics companies.

Project Overview:
System LSI design for consumer products, including digital camera and digital TV.

Development Sites:
There are 5 development sites in Japan, including Yokohama, Atsugi, Fukuoka, Nagasaki and Sapporo.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1.
 
Experienced in C/C++ programming, knowledgeable about de facto coding and guidance of embedded programming.

2.
 
Experienced in embedded system development, knowledgeable about RTOS, such as RT-Linux.

3.
 
Familiarity with audio/video codec algorithm.

4.
 
Highly proficient in data intensive and algorithm oriented C/C++ programming.

5.
 
Strong knowledge of software version control and defect control.

6.
 
Strong team player; strong organization, communication skills required.

7.
 
English and Japanese language skills.

8.
 
At least 3 years of work experience in embedded system development as project leader.

9.
 
Bachelor or higher degree in computer engineering or equivalent.

10.
 
Highly proficient at technical documentation and presentation.

11.
 
Familiarity with source code management tools.


Responsibilities:

1.
 
Perform embedded software development, from specification to C/C++ code.

Develop and review documentation.

3.
 
Perform other duties as assigned.
