The Knowledge Edge Group delivers advanced design and consulting services to leading global companies.

In this capacity we have developed long-standing strategic partnerships with two companies in particular, Sony and Ricoh. Twenty Knowledge Edge Global Team members currently work at project sites in Japan. Our major client, Sony LSI Design Inc. plans to steadily expand its pool of qualified engineers over the next four years—mainly through Knowledge Edge—in order to meet long-term development schedules. Consequently, our group of Sony LSI Design-dedicated engineering professionals is scheduled to increase to over 50 by 2014.

Knowledge Edge is now partnering with Kanematsu Electronics Ltd., a major Japanese trading company, jointly operating a new Global Design Center in the South Zone of Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone (CDHT). This state-of-the-art facility opened in January, 2011. Its primary mission is to deliver strategic offshore design services to Sony LSI Design Inc., which will soon start posting visiting Japanese staff to coordinate project development work. By 2014, 100 engineers are scheduled to work at the Center, mostly Knowledge Edge design professionals.
